General Description
What You Need to Know About the Rescue Diver Course
For most Dive Instructors and Divemasters, the Rescue Diver course is remembered as the most fun course of all dive courses. This course and the Emergency First Response course provide divers with confidence in preventing and handling dive-related emergencies.
The Rescue Diver course, which is highly appreciated, provides the physical and mental preparation to prepare you to prevent, anticipate, and, if necessary, handle any diving accident. Because the course focuses on rescue skills, this is a challenging course but does not require special preparation.
The course consists of three main parts: Developing theoretical knowledge, training sessions, and rescue scenarios in a natural environment that simulate diving incidents.
During this course, you will learn the principles and techniques to avoid, anticipate, and handle diving emergencies and recognize diver stress or equipment problems. You will learn to evaluate the situation and correctly react in administering first aid and applying the life-saving and first aid procedures on conscious or unconscious victims, on the surface and underwater.

Great scuba shop for Certification and Diving!! Love the crew!”
My husband and I went to Cabo in 2009 and had a wonderful experience getting our certification through Manta Scuba. We recently returned to Cabo for the second time and went back to Manta because of our great first experience. Once again, Manta gave us a wonderful dive experience! We did a few local corridor dives and then took a trip out to dive at Cabo Pulmo. On our local dive, our captain spotted a large group of mobula rays and took us up close to see them jumping out of the water – what a cool experience! My husband was most excited about our Cabo Pulmo diving trip – and rightfully so because it was amazing! Our dive masters entertained all of our questions on the road trip out to Cabo Pulmo and, because of my husband’s wish to see bull sharks, they secured us a dive at the shipwreck where bull sharks are most likely to be seen. We saw two! The dives were fun (and beautiful!) and our dive masters were excellent – very nice and professional. I honestly can’t say enough about the staff. One of a kind! You can tell that Manta Scuba has a deep passion for diving. They care a lot about Cabo and protecting the diving environment. And they truly care about providing a great diving experience for visitors.
Great 3-tank Dives & Certification”
My husband and I dived with Manta in June. Great group of divers!!! Extremely friendly and very professional! I really enjoyed diving with Manuela as my Underwater Photography Instructor. I learned a lot from her. The three dives were awesome! Saw schools of fish that were the largest I’ve ever seen. Some of the fish we saw were yellowfin snapper, a scorpion fish, black spotted boxfish, yellow boxfish, eagle rays, and white tip reef sharks. Also saw a wreck that was discovered after Hurricane Odile. If you find yourself in Cabo and want to dive…Manta Scuba is for you.
